Dr. Melissa Free is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. She completed her Psychiatry residency training at Penn State where she served as the Chief Resident. She obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Thejasvi Narayana Lingamchetty, an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral health, started as faculty in the department on July 3, 2023.
Dr. Lingamchetty completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center from 2021-2023. He completed his psychiatry residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine/MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio from 2018-2021, and previously attained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India in 2015.
Dr. Lingamchetty is ABPN board-certified physician in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry, provides primarily clinical care to the child & adolescent inpatient unit at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute.
Alexis Magazino, CRNP, joined our APP team on June 6, 2022, providing clinical care at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute as a valued member of the 3 Memorial Outpatient Adult Provider Team. Alexis comes to us from UPMC where she provided clinical care for patients in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Processing, and Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Departments. She performed clinical rotations for psychiatry at PPI during the Summer and Fall of 2021. Alexis is a lifelong learner who has experience as Adjunct Faculty at Central Penn College. Alexis earned a BA in Neuroscience from Colgate University, ADN from Harrisburg Community College, MSN from Sacred Heart University, and Post Graduate Certificate -Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the Wilkes University.
Sean Nutting, M.D., Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, transitioned to a faculty position within the Department on July 1, 2022. Dr. Nutting completed his Psychiatry residency at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute from 2018-2022, serving as Chief Resident, and previously attained his Doctorate of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine from 2014-2018, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Johns Hopkins University in 2013. He currently serves as representative on both the Physician Education Committee and the Resident Quality Improvement Council within the institution.
Felix Matos Padilla, M.D., Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, joined the Department on July 11, 2022. Dr. Matos completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at University of Buffalo from 2020-2022, his Psychiatry residency at BronxCare Health System in Bronx, New York, during 2017-2020, where he was Resident of the Year (PGY3), and his MD Summa Cum Laude at the Univeridad Iberoamericana, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 2010-2016.
Vincent Kennedy, D.O., Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, joined the Department on August 1, 2022. He is Clozapine REMS certified and has attained a Buprenorphine Waiver. Dr. Kennedy completed a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of California-Davis in 2021-2022, and his Psychiatry residency at University Hospital and Medical Center, Tamarac, Florida, from 2017-2021, where he was Chief Resident. He attained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, from 2013-2017, his Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology in 2012 from the University of California – Irvine, and his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in 2010.
